POS Setup | Step #2 - Delivery Charges

Modified on Thu, 23 Jan 2020 at 04:40 PM

For US Shops (shops outside the US, scroll down)

Now that we've set up the tax rate, we will set up the delivery charges by zip code.

First, navigate to Settings > Delivery Charge in your Floranext dashboard.

Add delivery charges by clicking the orange Add Delivery Charge button.

Enter the zip code and the according delivery charge for that zip code.

You can enter up to 10 zip codes per page. To add more, click Save Delivery Charge in the top right corner and then click Add Delivery Charge again to continue adding zip codes.

The Delivery Zone is optional to set. This will allow you to create zones so it's easy to see which zip codes are close to each other when routing deliveries.

For example, if zip code 12345 is in the same area as 67891, Zone 1 can be selected for both. Then on the Deliveries page, orders in Zone 1 will show first, then those in Zone 2 and so on. This is an optional feature to help organize deliveries.

At the top, enter in the Out of Area Delivery Charge. On the POS or website, if a zip code is entered for the recipient address that is not one listed, the out of area delivery charge will be added to the order ($10-$15 is typical).

Remember to click Save at the top right!

For Shops Outside the US

Depending on how you assess the delivery charge, zip code setup may still be applicable for your shop. However, Floranext also has the option to assess delivery charges by zones for shops outside the U.S.

Delivery Zones will allow you to setup custom zones with a set delivery charge so the zone of the recipient can be selected to add the correct delivery charge to the order.

Navigate to Settings > Delivery > Delivery Charge.

From the drop-down, select 'Use Delivery Zones' method and let the page refresh. Then click on "Add Delivery Zone".

Add Delivery Zones

Click "Save Delivery Zone" in the top right corner and repeat until all zones are entered.

Postal Codes

Navigate to Settings > Delivery > Delivery Charge.

From the drop-down, select Postal Codes and let the page refresh. Then click Add Delivery Zone.
