iPad POS | Taking an Order

Upon opening your iPad POS app, you'll be directed to the Checkout page, or you can tap the three horizontal bars in the upper left and tap Checkout.

Sales Settings

First, make sure your Sales Settings are complete. Just tap the pencil icon at the top of the screen and you'll see a popup to enter:

  • Employee Name: Select your name
  • Order Type: Phone or Walk-In
  • (Store Name: If you have multiple store locations)

Carry Out/Delivery/Pick-up

Next, in the upper right, select whether the order is a Carry Out ("Taken" order if you're familiar with the Floranext POS), Delivery, or Pickup.

Adding a Product

There are 2 ways of adding a product to an order. You can add a Quick Sale product by tapping Quick Sale or you can search for a product in your Product Catalog using the Search.

To remove a product, swipe left on the product and tap delete. See how.

Adding Customer Info

Now add your customer's info. Just tap on the + icon next to "Customer Info." This will bring up a popup screen where you can search for an existing customer, or create a new customer.

Adding Recipient Info

For Delivery orders, Recipient Info is required. Tap on the + icon next to "Recipient Info" to bring up a popup screen where you can use saved addresses saved on the customer's profile, or fill in the information required—name, address, email, and phone number—for a new recipient. You also have the option to use the sender address, just tap the Use Sender Address box to check it.

Adding a Card Message

Now for the card message. As with the Customer and Recipient Info sections, tap the + icon right next to Card Message to write up a card message or use the card message shortcut dropdown, select an event, delivery date and time, and special delivery instructions.

Note: At the bottom of the pop-up screen will be an option to send a reminder for next year, just put a check mark on the box right across it.

Adding A Discount

To add a discount to the order, tap the + icon right next to Discount to add a discount from either a Gift Card or a straight discount by fixed amount or percentage.

Selecting a Tax Rate

Tap on the dropdown list to select a tax rate.

Taking a Payment

Finally, tap the Total Price at the bottom right to have the option to choose from different payment methods. Different preset payment methods include:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Credit Card (setup required, contact Floranext Merchant Services)
  • COD/Pay later
  • Wire Out

After taking the payment, just tap Complete Order to finish your transaction.

After completing the order, you'll be taken to another screen where you can send a receipt to an email address.
