With the Floranext Remote Print app you can print tickets, receipts, invoices, and work orders on your Floranext Point of Sale and Website without pop ups.
1. Download the right version for your operating system:
Floranext Remote Print Installer
Note - the Floranext Remote Print app does not work on iPad point of sale yet.
2. Log into Floranext Remote Print app
App Icon should be on customer's desktop.
Use the same login/password you use for your Floranext admin login
Note - if you are on Windows you may be prompted to install a font
3. Update Print Settings in Admin
In Floranext Admin > POS Settings > Print Settings Choose
Remote Print
- Remote Print - Yes
- Google Cloud Access - Can be left blank (or if filled can leave filled in)
- Print Method - Floranext Print App
- Printer - Choose printer (and tray if option shows)
Ticket Print
- Print Method - Floranext Print App
- Printer - Select Printer (and tray if option shows)
Receipt Print (Coming Soon)
- Print Method - Floranext Print App
- Printer - Select Printer (and tray if option shows)
4. Test Print
Floranext Admin > Orders > View Order > Print
Test print receipt (if you have set this up)
Test print ticket
5. Troubleshooting
General
- Check you are on the most recent version
- Multi-tray printers - set Printer Tray to Automatic if this option available
- Antivirus - Norton, Kaspersky Anti-Virus sometime block; set Floranext Remote Print as exception
Mac Print App
- Make sure Info window is closed. If open the Mac app will not print.
- Menu > Reconnect - will reconnect app if it somehow becomes disconnected from print server.
- Printer not showing in Print Settings - Log out of the print app and back in
Windows Print app
- Old Windows OS - some customer continue to run old Windows Operations Systems. These operating systems are not supported by Microsoft and are a security risk. Print App will not work with these end of life systems.
